Thanks. Jim's done the maps over years of course, and then he designed the layout this year, and then I built the new layout for him with the help of various tools. There's still a lot of pages to convert over time.
And at some point later in the year I will likely be converting the Google Maps model plots over to ArcGIS. Google changed their pricing to offer less for free, so I pulled the model plots in the browser on my site. And when I start work and finish the model plots in ArcGIS, I'll replace that part of the system with that at HC. Then maybe next year I'll work on getting the system itself to be mobile friendly. (only the header at HC will be at first in the model and recon system when I finish that part) I keep saying I'll get around to that, but never do. From learning even more about mobile design through doing the HC layout, maybe I'll finally tackle it. I kept in mind some things I want to do when I do those systems while I was building the new layout. And technology has caught up where I don't have to worry about coding for Internet Explorer which was always a pain.
Good luck to everyone this season. It only ever takes one, so whether the tropics are active or not doesn't matter if you get impacted in a season. It happens or not, you just have to be prepared when one comes your way and now is the time to do that.

Some things you can do in advance, having a plan, and then others when the time comes if needed. You never want to be caught off guard as sometimes they popup faster than others.
Jim will be doing his hurricane season kickoff show at 8pm on June 1st:
