Looks like some of the ones on Amazon come with a car adapter so that you can run the TV, but that will not charge the battery unfortunately. (and that is not so convenient, or safe, to have to be in the garage) But if you only used the battery during the storm occasionally to see the radar, you might get by with it.

I do see this outrageously expensive one for $350:

There might be more out there, but who knows, they might be terrible. I looked several weeks ago and could fine none online. I just found that one while searching now.

Now that the switch is here, I think we'll quickly start seeing more with a lower and lower price. Seems best to wait a little longer into the season and there should be more. It was rather unfortunate this switch had to happen just getting into hurricane season. It would have been good to have it already underway with more portable digital TVs out there already coming down in price by the hurricane season.
