I provided that just as an example of a price that was outrageous, I would not go with them because I don't know anything about them. Don't know who makes the TV or anything. Some of the ones on Amazon have good reviews, but the only problem is that you can't charge the built in battery off the car, only an outlet. I think you'll see some cheaper battery powered ones soon now that we are finally making the switch today, so I would wait a bit. If a storm was coming, you could just visit Walgreens and buy something like this one:

For a little more than the ones on Amazon. (but you still could not charge the battery off the car) But with so much stuff online now, it might just be better to have a cell phone with internet access or some kind of WiFi device if you have that where you live that takes regular batteries so that you can access the radar online and video if the device can do it. I don't own a cell phone and do not know how many devices take ordinary batteries though. And, I don't know how long the signal would last or what quality it would be. Cell phones would probably be the least reliable, but I don't know.
