I can't specifically recall seeing any prominently displayed on TV, but I might have seen some once in the background while a local emergency manager was giving an interview. They are a little confusing though to show. For a specific storm approaching they would be good if you run the data for that storm, but these are better to have online to see when you have some time to learn more about what the images convey and read some of the disclaimers.

A few years ago a local station in Tampa did show the results of surge in a computer animation of what flooding would do to our area. I assume it was probably based on the SLOSH model. It had aerial views and actually had my neighborhood in one of the scenes. It doesn't take much to flood. Parts of Downtown Tampa flood in tropical storms.
