Riggy checking in

Hi yall, I'd love to give yall an update from the rig in the Gulf. But I've been laid off for a month. But I do know they are evacuating the rigs from the TX/LA border eastward, they will be off of those today, most of them any way. I can give you an up date from Houma LA. It's cloudy, about 71* with the wind just now starting to come out of the east about 10mph or less. Early this morning it was dead calm.  The thing that is starting to worry me is the birds are all gone and early this morning I saw geese flying high and towards the north, the opposite of the last few weeks. I have a feeling that Ida will make her turn as advertised, but I think it will make a grazing landfall between Grand Isle LA and the mouth of the Mississippi river. From what I can see from the satellite's is that Ida will out race the front to the coast. On the visible satellite for the North West Atlantic, you can see the clouds moving to the West, so that makes me think the storm will move more to the west. The front also looks to be farther from the Gulf Coast than Ida, so that makes me think Ida will get there first. I know I take a more simplified view of how storm work than a lot of yall do. But I do all right with my predictions sometimes. Sometimes I bomb..  but I always pay attention to the NHC and check with yall.
