CIMSS has Ida as a cat 1 before landfall but at 55 kts after landfall.  The Navy track and the CIMSS are very close.  It looks like it will hit the panhandle but it looks like there could be storm problems in Al, MS and LA.  We could use the rain we are in a drought.

It looks to me as if the front and Ida or should I say Ida's out flow will meet and clash but what do I know.  The images on Crown weather look very close.  This could prove to be very interesting weather with both front and a hurricane meeting.  Not the perfect storm but still interesting.
