the weather info posted here as a docx document http://www.incidentnews.gov/entry/526299 has winds changing to SE today, staying SE & increasing to 25 kts by Fri - this will shove it towards shore - I've read a few articles saying that the upper gulf may be smelling the smoke & getting oil onshore by then :(

(disclaimer - I have no idea how accurate the articles I've read are)
