It's a bit weary to think about what could happen yet interesting at the same time. From my understanding we've never had to really deal with this type of scenario before. At times I think all hell may break loose but you can't just automatically assert that something "hellish" will definitly occur because no one knows what may happen. We could have another 2005 season again and not have 1 of these storms take the exact track needed to advect oil inland. Who knows, could be a year that reminds the east coast folks that they shouldn't play with "They dont happen here" because I'm sure after all these years they'll be a lot of those folks. They just walk around singing "la la la la la".

In terms of the season alone all hell may break loose though. I think everyone is so worried about the oil (And rightfully so) we have no idea what devestation could in store in the next few months just from the actual storms themselves, not including the oil aspect.

Personally, Ive looked foward to this season primiarly because after my jr year, I've learned so much about atmospheric dynamics, maps etc that I feel like this is the first year I can really dig my feet into really studying and analyzing these storms because I have such a more profoun knowledge of the field, so for that I have been excited and it does kinda of mix emotions though because I really don't wanna see what an Oilcane would be like, honestly. Not when the government is singing along in the "la la la la la" chant regarding this spill.
