We're all going to be talking like stuffy old men here if we don't loosen up some.
This may be a hard year for some living near the coast and people may take some hurricane forecasts to heart, but in the long run we also need safe places for young enthusiasts to share their thoughts on hurricanes.
I find the drama associated with a person's positive or negative forecast of a storm's posible development slightly amusing but usually little more than an unnessisary distraction. But people seem to like to watch drama, so for all I know it could be good for the board.
People may be sensitive this year because of the pain from the spill, but it may be foolish for us to tone down our forecasts with such favorable hurricane season conditions. |
