"PGI38L (ex-Gaston) is maintaining some organized convection as it moves to the WSW, south of Hispaniola. Soundings and other data obtained from yesterday's G-V flight showed that PGI38L has changed little in the past 24 hours. Despite weakening vertical shear, none of the ECMWF/GFS ensemble members advertise TC genesis from this system. "
