I think they are referring to the studies that came out saying that solar activity is forecast to be way down in the coming decades.
Some are speculating that this will lead to a mini Ice Age.
I am sure we will hear more reports and studies at great expense to counter it.
Fear always tends to make people panic and research groups benefit by getting more research money.
