It sounds like they need your help.

Agreed, there are a lot of climatic ocillations that need to be considered.

But, some how I would think they would all need to phase at the same time to create such a drastic anomaly in severe weather such as drought, floods, tornadoes, snow meggadon, etc.

Yes, pollution is an issue and could be a major contributor.
