The area of south Florida is shown in wikipedia. That's the area of the article I posted and in question.
The concern I have and even with Andrew there has not been any major hurricanes that hit any major populated area's in a long long time.
Whether it be a direct cat 3 or higher hit to Miami or any other major city. The odds are way to over due added the freak extreme weather lately and over populations.
With katrina the storm didn't directly hit NOLA it had a indirect affect. which flooding broke the levees.
A cat 5 directly hitting Miami, Tampa Jacksonville or whatever major city would be well beyond anything imaginable. |
