Re: At least two models think so right now ...

Hey LawKat, not sure if I will be able to ask this question in a way that makes any sense to anyone other than a kook like me, but I'll try: Do we have any handle on what direction models tend to lean toward from runs early in a storms like to runs later in its life? Like with Ivan, early runs had Ivan heading north over central Cuba and then splitting up the middle of Florida. Then, of course, you know all to well where Ivan actually ended up.

So over the course of Ivan's life models had a bias to the right and gradually were nudged to the left as Ivan progressed. Do we have any idea if that tends to be typical of model runs throughout the life of a storm that eventually makes landfall in the US--do they tend to lean to the right early on and then get nudged to the left as the storm moves along?

I am not talking about ALL storms here, just storms that made landfall on the US mainland.
