Just got back from picking up my secretary and her husband, they were air boated out this morning.  It took the air boat several hours to figure out how to get to them.   We had to drive through a lot of 6" deep water just to get to Sopchoppy where the boat dropped them.  There are 3 roads into Sopchoppy, one is washed out and the other 2 are flooded and only emergency vehicles can get in.

They live in a house on 16 ft pilings near the Sopchoppy River, they have owned the land a long time and built the house well higher than either the 100 year flood or anywhere they could determine water had ever risen.  So they don't normally worry about flooding, they just stay in the house and canoe to a high spot where they park.  But not this time, when the air boat finally figured out how to get to them water was within a foot of their floor and still rising.

Their cars are ok for now, but stranded on an island.  We brought them home for food and sleep, they were up all night trying to get the place ready for the water.

The good news is the sun has been out off and on this afternoon, and I think its over for us.
