If this track pans out exactly as the NHC says, it would be a track we haven't seen in a while from a storm. A lot of storms in that area either go further west and pull an Ivan, Katrina or Rita... or turn north and east and skirt the east coast, either scraping it or curving out to sea.

Seriously, when was the last time a hurricane went through east Cuba, through the Florida straits and clipping Florida's West Coast...gradually turning NW..NNW and N? It'd be a unique track. Charley, remember, went further west and then turned.
