Re: 5 PM - stronger and significant shift east

My students and I were watching the satellite earlier today and we thought we saw some eastern movement.  Granted, we are 8th grade Gifted kids with no experience in meteorology at all and a teacher whose entire experience has been that of lurking in this forum and watching the NHC site.  Nonetheless, we "predicted" this change in the forecast.  I would be so proud of us, but as it brings the storm closer to Punta Gorda, (we are just inland in Arcadia), and our super hasn't yet closed school for Monday, I could be happier.

One thing I am glad of, though, is that my babies now know where to find the info they need to be forewarned, as well as how to understand it. :)   We read and discussed the discussion and we read this forum! :)  Thanks to all of you who are here and sharing your knowledge, perhaps my little ones will be more safe. Charley surprised us...this one may not as much.
