You really would think so, but we've kind of caught ourselves saying that sort of thing all along with this storm and it hasn't happened, and to me it appears the mid-level and lower-level centers still are not aligned. I don't know what it is with this storm, but if ever the words "I'll believe it when I see it" were relevant it's right now.

If Isaac can't get his inner dynamics together any strengthening will be gradual, but yes, if he does get his core together over the jacuzzi that is the eastern GOMEX right now, yikes.
