Some Citizens policies in FL are switching to other insurers unless you opt out

I got a letter in the mail that gave me about a month to opt out of automatically having my policy switch from Citizens to another insurance company. My dad called our agent and they were not sure about it but they confirmed it was real and we found that they can do this:

I got the "Heritage P&C Opt Out Form - 12/4/2012 Assumption" form on that page. We were not sure how it might affect things going forward so tonight I emailed them the opt out form. We were afraid to switch because it is not like you could probably switch back. The other insurer company cold have raised our rates no telling how much later on. And we were not sure how it might affect some other policies we have.

I thought I might mention it in case anyone else has Citizens and thought the letter was a scam. Shockingly, it is not.
