What I got out of the SciGuy's interview (because I'm not savvy enough to understand the way the models work) was how much they rely on our satellites.  I hope the US keeps it's satellites in the forefront of technology - perhaps they are planning things the general public isn't privy to - like the manned moon outpost gossip in the news lately, I don't suppose they release every bit of info in advance
