They don't seem to have any kind of real time data or anything close to it. I only see various old data on some of the various sites I looked at.

As for some kind of portable radar, I've always wondered about radars on buoys. It seems like you could have something to steady it, but the technology would probably be very expensive and subject to damage. Radars go out far enough along the US coastline and hurricane hunters have radar, so I guess that is sufficient. (though in some parts of the Carib I would love to have radar at times)
