In my little hometown of Cushing, TX they just built an elementary school out of cinder block mostly. The main hallways were built re-enforced with double steel...but I wonder if it should be built like a safe area you buy to install in your home....I think this is the least you should do to counter these types of situations. How hard could it be...especially in these areas that experience these large long tracked storms they have experienced lately.
