Re: Gabrielle's remnants are now being tracked as 92L

It just seems odd they would start 92L now.

What they started describing it as after they issued the last advisory to what they called it most recently:

A COMPLEX AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER...WHICH INCLUDES THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER...THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

A DISORGANIZED AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS...ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

LOW-LEVEL CIRCULATION ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE IN ASSOCIATION WITH A BROAD LOW PRESSURE AREA...THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY REMAINS DISORGANIZED IN ASSOCIATION WITH A BROAD LOW PRESSURE AREA...THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

DISORGANIZED SHOWER ACTIVITY IS ASSOCIATED WITH A BROAD LOW PRESSURE AREA...THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

A BROAD LOW PRESSURE AREA...THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE

Note the "ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE" and now they are at "THE REMNANTS OF GABRIELLE". It seems like they are more certain now. Although, they do use that word "broad", so I guess they could be waiting to make the final decision as to whether it merged with anything.

By the way, some of the research missions have been canceled today. Air Force recon will continue as long as Gabrielle could be a threat to Bermuda. Not 100% sure about what research missions are on and which are off. At least one P3 seems to be scheduled for research, assuming the date was correct in today's plan of the day. GlobalHawk should have taken off at 10am EDT, but data stopped before it left. There might be some activity with the G-IV going by the NASA tracker site, but the GlobalHawk was active like that this morning too and it never went anywhere.
