Can anyone point me in the direction of good information about how a hurricane's forward speed impacts the intensity of its winds? It's my understanding that people who experience landfall with a fast-moving hurricane will experience more violent winds than the storm otherwise would have delivered had it been moving more slowly. I'd love to see some more info about this phenomenon. |
