I did start wondering about this storm's PWAT value, so this is illuminating. I do think some interesting science can come from researching why this storm's PWAT value was so high as to strike Cantore as unprecedented. While I agree that stalling is the primary contributing factor in these biblical rainfall numbers we are seeing in Harris County, maybe we do have evidence that the abnormally warm Gulf added at least a little to Harvey's precipitable water value.
