Quite interesting. I too have little idea about how a typhoon thousands of miles away may influence Irma's eventual path, but it would seem to me that a "more active weather pattern" triggered by the typhoon would be good news for those west of Irma. Perhaps a greater chance of a trough digging deep into the eastern seaboard and picking up Irma before she gets too close. Doesn't help those in the Lesser Antilles, though. Anxious situation for them.
