The Euro just instantiated the turn north as basically over marathon and up through naples due north. Extremely hard right turn after the stall over Cuba. I'm not so sure about that.
Also, the Euro hasn't done well intensity-wise with this thing. I'd split the different between it and the new GFS and say it still stays just off the coast of Cuba as a stronger storms as is slightly more towards the west coast as it flies north.
Thing is, if the GFS is correct intensity-wise, then it really wont matter much by then. If we're looking at a Cat 5 sometime in the next few days, the storm will have time to grow enormously. A few 100 miles here or there wont matter. Norcross said it best that we may indeed have another Wilma type scenario, only with more wind this time. |
