Re: Amazing westward shift in 24 hours

I wish they would take this more seriously here in Tampa. Not one TV station was live before 11am. Hillsborough County hasn't ordered a mandatory evacuation that I can find, which is rather unbelievable. Only voluntary evacuation for special-need residents in Evacuation Zone A:

One county south, mandatory for zone A. Two counties north, mandatory for zone A.

Mayor is still working with idea that surge will be worst on east coast. That is starting to shift now.

I originally was going to visit my grandmother in TN, but we are staying nearby now. I'm not getting on the roads and getting stuck for a day in traffic. They are trying to get gas to places, but I'm just not getting into that mess. Before it was preparing just in case it got bad here. Now getting bad here is becoming more likely. And the surge threat is increasing.

Keep in mind, Skyway Bridge will close when winds get high, for any of you on the west coast of Florida thinking about using that coastal route. According to an old article it is sustained winds of 40mph.
