I don't think it's going to be ripped apart as much as some other storms in the past because it's moving so fast and a lot of the storm will still be staying out over water. This thing is motoring at a pretty good clip. The part it's going to enter into first is also pretty flat. It's Central Cuba where it gets mountainous. It "may" just miss that part. Gonna be a close call.
I do think it's going to down to a cat. 2 or 3, though. However, if it moves out far enough to the west once it clears it and not due north, it will have at least 12 hours to blow back up before it gets into the Naples or Fort Myers region. So we'll see. |
