Apparently they debated whether or not to release now, or to release quietly, but came down on the side of informing the public.
Still, awful to hear this now. I dearly, dearly hope the multiple fish storm scenario is indeed all we'll see. I think if we're forced to evacuate one more time, most especially under the cloud of the current circumstances and/or fear of repeat appearances of the coronavirus, it may be the last straw for us; we'd have to seriously consider moving to the mainland, as much as I detest the thought. Just getting too old for such stress. |
