Re: Chart Testing - O/T

One of these days I will get back to updating that display.

In the meantime, I've been working on switching charting from Flash to JavaScript in the model system. (and eventually the sonde diagram in the recon system) I work on it offline, but this is an example of what I have to date with some fake data and a fake model too:
http://tropicalatlantic.com/temp/2020/05-17/c3js_charts.htm
I have to test various things so I created various data to test how the script does.

It will likely be late in the year before it is added to the current model system.

I use a 3rd party charting library:
https://c3js.org/
Though it has involved a lot of customizing. This is the script so far that I have written to create that customized display:
http://tropicalatlantic.com/temp/2020/05-17/model_charts.js

That will eventually replace all these charts:

http://hurricanecity.com/models/models.cgi?basin=al&year=2020&storm=01&display=wind_diagram&latestrun=1
http://hurricanecity.com/models/models.cgi?basin=al&year=2020&storm=01&display=pressure_diagram&latestrun=1
http://hurricanecity.com/models/models.cgi?basin=al&year=2020&storm=01&display=model_error&error_type=average&latestrun=1&type=chart

As well as AXBT charting in the recon system for water depth.

I will likely use another 3rd party chart for sonde diagrams, though I have not worked on it at all yet. Here is the default example for that:

If anyone has any suggestions for the model charting, let me know.

Updates left...

Maybe add option to change "Font setting".
Toggle option: Show model names in popups
Toggle option: Show additional measurement units in popups

And most importantly, change the x-axis value to view data through up to 7 days. (7.25 days for late cycle models) Be able to easily change to lesser amount of days using some feature, like the arrows in the Flash charts can do.
