Over 10,000 people died in 1998 from that storm, the deadliest hurricane in modern history. (of the past few hundred years)

I hope it's nothing close to that, but this is like Haiti. They aren't prepared for storms like this.

For wind, the area has been hit hard before, like with Hurricane Felix in 2007:

Wikipedia has 133 dead from that storm.

This is the city that could see the worst of the wind:

It could be much more directly hit than with Felix though. Population of about 66,000 according to Wikipedia.

But that rainfall is where things could get so much worse. Felix was moving. This is going to go much slower it seems.
