it's heartbreaking

2 of my siblings: 1 brother, 1 sister (I'm #13, almost the youngest) did humanitarian missionary trips to Tegucigalpa area, albeit a couple decades ago when they were younger. I used to try to meet them at airport in Houston (back when it was allowed), buy things for them to bring, like kids underclothes, basic sanitary stuff & they would also collect $$s, other donations. My bro was an optician, so also collected old glasses, (I saved all ours for them) and he would fit them on the people who might need them, if their prescription matched close enough. They both have medical backgrounds, much of their visit was basic medical needs for the rural locals, many others with med backgrounds went also. They are older now, in their 70s & have both been visited by various cancers, but still do what they can, when they can.

The people of Central America will be just devastated by Eta and it's just a damned shame

sorry for the sappy post, I just needed to vent & plead with anyone listening to help any way you can.
