Will be covering Idalia from impact areas

I will be heading up today to cover hurricane Idalia with expected landfall time early Wednesday. This time I will be with my colleague Bill Phillips as I promised him to get him in the eye of a hurricane someday so this is the time. I will be taking interceptor 2 fully loaded with our target area to set up remote cams between Homosassa and Steinhatchee .We will then retreat inland target Cross city or Perry depending on track. We will provide regular updates on HC youtube you can also access the front page and click on the picture of the TV set for live stream and updates.

This will be my 17th hurricane and 30th tropical system but every hurricane is different with a different set of challenges and this stretch of coast is one of the worst in the U.S for surge and logistics so it may take us longer to find mount spots thus less streaming in advance. As the core approaches we will be streaming live with our different cam angles, instrument readings, pressure and radar shots. I will not be updating the front page during this event but hope to get back and update by the weekend wish us luck. I may drop in here at times but best bet is the live stream.
