| I never met him, but he was a good friend to New Orleans and did all kinds of things to help the less fortunate. I worked at New Orleans Adolescent Hospital for a few years; it was a state-run inpatient psychiatric hospital for children and teens. I heard from people who had worked there for many years that Jimmy Buffett had paid to build the gymnasium there so the kids would have a place to play basketball, etc. |
