Surface pressures are dropping.
UL atmosphere is calming way down - WV showing a nice ridge.
Shear is generally running 10 knots and dropping.
The large-amp trop wave now moving thru the Carib will make its way up into the GOM in a couple days.
The wave looks to be slowing down and could stall out in the GOM.
A 1004 mb warm-core low is currently over north Mexico.
Euro is forecasting a deep warm-core to develop in 36 hrs further east but still over land.
A stalled front along the south CONUS coast.
Unstable air in the GOM.
All in all, a lot of factors are adding up for something to fire up in a few days.
