West Atlantic is ready to rock and roll

It looks like it is not taking much now to fire convection in the west Atlantic.

Check the water vapor loop.

Lots of tell-tale signs:

1)  Look at all the surface based convection firing over land in the afternoon due to surface heating.  Check S FL, Cuba, Yucatan, Bahama islands, Jamacia, Hispaniola.

2)  Check the flare NE of ABC islands.  Fired for a good 8 hours with no identifiable surface convergence.  Maybe a boat in the area made a sharp left hand turn and set off the convection (LOL)

3)  98L was firing in LI = -10 and CAPE = 5000 air.

4)  The convection in the NE Bahamas yesterday and this morning was firing in a weak anti-cyclonic surface divergence.

Its ready to go once an organized wave rolls in.

Keep watching MIMIC-TPW.
