Another way to check for subsidence

Sinking air from the tropopause will hit the ocean and spread out.
You can look for this on CIMSS LL Convergence map.
Here the dotted lines show the areas of subsidence.
The area bounded by 22N 12N 38W 52W is showing an area of subsidence.
This is between the mid-Atlantic TUTT and an area in the ITCZ that is firing stratiform precip.
