AS far as the trough situation goes, you can see ridging building in the west US right now. So the fairly deep trough over the East US is beginning to pull east--and flatten. In the meantime Ericka should move into the Bahamas on a WNW course. The weakness off the East Coast will be much less pronounced than now, I think. I would look for Ericka to push fairly slowly NW from the Bahamas toward central Fl. Its my way early call. Look for it to either make landfall in central Fl or move very near the coast heading somewhat further north. |
