Two types of convection

1) TC convection - it needs lots of LL convergence and no shear.

2) MCS convection - it needs moderate LL convergence but a good dose of shear to drive it.

Erika is number 2.

Infeeds will only get re-established if Erika drops in pressure allowing her to pull the high theta-e air in from the south.

If she doesn't deepen to pull the juice, she is kaput.
