Re: Where is it warm?

I probably will test my heat to see if it works. We got a AC/heater over the summer. Saves money to not have it on. If it gets too cold, we'll turn it on, but so far blankets and warmer clothes are okay.

It got down to 54 this morning in the house. (We had a fire going last night, but down went the temp quickly from 60.) 50 in rooms with the door closed. Computer room warmed up to 62 with the heat from the computer and me. I was wearing gloves typing too part of the time. My dad just started another fire. (We had a magnolia tree that has long been dead and my dad finally finished cutting it down, so that has provided free wood for the fire.)

I really wish it had been just a little warmer here outside over night. My yard is already showing a ton of damage. Freeze duration at the reporting station nearest my house was between 9:23PM and 8:54AM. Was 29 for a few hours there. Most all the plants show signs of death or distress. Even the trees have signs, but now we just see what tonight holds and if the trees can survive. It only reached 40 at that reporting station today. 39 now. Tonight, after clouds and a little wind seemed to save us some last night, it is probably going to be worse.
