| I wanted to add that one would expect for strong re-growth this season considering how negative the AO was for all of winter basically and parts of fall. I personally thought we'd see greater growth in the region this year, not to mention how the streamline was in the N.P., continual lows dumping precip over the area. I was excited personally that it grew, but it's not "over", just because the ice extent is back doesn't mean that ice is the same as it was 2003, it's not as thick, strong and is more vulnerable to the seasonal melt. I beleive last year was like the second lowest ice year? |
