Remember 2005? It's Much Hotter

Total storms: 28 (record high)
Hurricanes: 15 (record high)
Majorhurricanes (Cat.3+): 7
Total fatalities: ~3,865

The current heat in the tropics makes 2005 SST's and TCHP's pale in comparison.

I have to ask, what if Katrina had not given 5 days warning and had hit with major storm force winds or a 7 ft higher surge?

Most of the people have returned to New Orleans.

Can we evacuate people from New Orleans any faster?
