Re: Cold Summer Ahead?:

For most the forecast is for a cooler summer, but the Gulf coast on those images still has more above average during most of the summer.

I got by until May 1st until I had to turn the air on. Setting it on 80 this year (did 81 last year), which keeps it at 83 in my room with the computer running. Too many mosquitoes to ever try opening windows.

Before today, we had 17 days of above average weather here in Tampa, occasionally hitting 90. We got a third of an inch of rain today, so finally a cooler than average day. Last year though, there was some brief mid 90's in May. (Last year in May up until this point, 10 days of 90 or higher. This year, 4 days and just tapping 90.) So this has actually been a little better. (And during those 90's my air was not working last year, so this year feels better for that reason too!)

The temperature difference since winter here in Tampa seems to have done wonders for plants. (A winter with a long duration of cold weather.) There is stuff blooming that we have had for a long time that we have never noticed blooming before.
