| Appreciate your response Jake, and I read every single one of your posts. I don't doubt that you've had some degree of success with predicting the location ofthe sub-tropical ridge, but I don't know that the numbers from all the different variables that you mentioned can yet be entered into a computer to construct a trustworthy model for 4-6 weeks in advance. And even if it could, although the location of the ridge might be the most important factor in a storms eventual track, there are others (incredible shifts in long wave trough patterns which often occur beginning in late Aug). In any event (and I know you know this) we shouldn't expect a carbon copy of '04 or '05. Speaking of the Sub-tropical ridge, what do you see for the Mid-July to Mid August time frame??? |
