This is interesting considering the future of global warming where we have been warming without much sun spot activity the past 100 years . Makes you wonder when it does increase considering it would heat up all layers of the atmosphere would it accelerate the warming? Also the theory of stronger hurricanes in a warming atmosphere is in question if there is not as much cooling in the upper layers to support development. Could the sun spot activity also simply be a coincidence with landfalls in the U.S? as there have been slower years with alot of hits.
