LI of -4 / -5 is unstable enough, but over tropical waters this about the norm in the summer months. The CAPE is a bit low as well, but 2700 + is not very restrictive either.

But, as we have discussed in the passed all vorticitys are co-located and this is the main firing mechnism that promotes strong ascent.

Keep up the good posts JAC and those nice images. They really help my analysis!!
