No dominant low level circulation I guess. Until it can start organizing in one spot, I guess it is easy to go poof.
I like 18N 83W at the moment as a center candidate. Closeup Java loop: http://www.tropicalatlantic.com/satellite/custom/index.htm?satellite=GOES-E+CONUS&type=Animation&numframes=10&width=450&height=400&info=vis&zoom=1&palette=ir.pal&quality=55&map=none&mapcolor=black&lat=18&lon=-83
This thing has a lot of center candidates which is its problem at the moment, but I like going with the middle. Now the big question, will it organize around one or spend its life fighting between mini vortices all the way to wherever it goes. And where will it go is another big question, because the models don't have a good center to initialize from so aside from global models, the others are fairly useless I think.

Meanwhile, 95L is making unofficial "landfall" in Louisiana based on me looking at the radar and satellite. Best cyclonic looking invest I have ever seen. You will always be a tropical depression to me 95L even though the NHC didn't feel the same way. |
