I think they are wrong about it being inland. Here is the 8PM EDT position update they put out:

Even that is close to the water. But it looks on radar to be over water. And, it is still building some slightly cooler cloud tops over the center:

Not quite dead yet, though the chances of them making it a depression now or upping the TWO to anything other than near 0% are actually near 0%, because they have been off too inconsistent today already. They'll just upgrade it after the storm is done.
