Jackstraw, your post is one of the best I've read in a long time. "automated binary driven forecast". "feels like a machine is running the NHC's website". "forecasters that modeled in their heads are slowly disappearing". Fantastic Post. I think your post goes a long way toward explaining whats happening at the NHC right now. Witness the yellow circles over land, and the recent red circle posted for Bonnie formation which probably suited particular models but was not verified by what the eyes could see for yet a couple of more days.
